Connection Problems

The browser works but the app says the server is unavailable

Check that the app is using the exact HTTPS address shown in the service guide. Do not add a path or port unless the guide explicitly includes one.

Common addresses are:

  • Jellyfin: https://jellyfin.blackbox.watch
  • Audiobookshelf: https://audiobooks.blackbox.watch
  • Navidrome: https://music.blackbox.watch

For music, third-party apps should normally use the Navidrome address above, not audio.blackbox.watch.

Works at home but not away from home

  1. Turn off Wi-Fi and test over mobile data.
  2. Confirm the app is not using a local address such as 192.168.x.x.
  3. Confirm it is using the public *.blackbox.watch hostname.

A browser redirects to the Blackbox login page

This is normal for services protected by Blackbox sign-in. Complete authentication and you should be returned to the requested service.

Some dedicated apps authenticate directly with the underlying service instead of through the browser sign-in page. Follow the service-specific instructions.

Only one device is affected

Restart the application and device, then check for application and operating-system updates.

Still not working
