Android TV & Nvidia Shield¶

Android TV and Nvidia Shield devices are primarily useful for Blackbox video playback.

Jellyfin¶

1. Open Google Play on the TV.
2. Install Jellyfin for Android TV.
3. When asked for the server, enter https://jellyfin.blackbox.watch.
4. Sign in with your Jellyfin account.
5. Test a movie or episode with both video and audio.

Tips¶

• Prefer Ethernet where practical for high-bitrate video.
• Keep the TV/Shield and Jellyfin application updated.
• If only one title buffers or fails, note the title and device model when reporting the problem.
• Avoid entering a local IP address; use the public jellyfin.blackbox.watch address.
